Factory Physics Concepts Lead to Shingo Prize

Factory Physics, Inc. is pleased to announce that Mr. Norbert Majerus, Lean Champion at Goodyear, has been selected as this year's winner of the Shingo Research and Professional Publication Award, for his book, Lean-Driven Innovation. In it Norbert writes, "One day a colleague handed me a copy of Factory Physics ... it opened my eyes to the science of why lean could and does work in product development. I had just discovered the power of understanding the lean principles." Norbert has done an outstanding job of applying Factory Physics and Lean concepts to Product Development at Goodyear.  In the book, he provides numerous examples of how Factory Physics concepts helped him and Goodyear implement their massively successful Lean effort.
